Innovation Highlights PETRONAS Syntium Hybrid EU 0W-20 C5 is a fully synthetic lubricant formulated with °CoolTech-H? technology to protect against wear and corrosion in hybrid engines.
Hybrid engines experience up to 10 times more stop/start events than standard engines. This is caused by frequent changes in power between battery and fuel, which leads to running temperatures of 40 degrees cooler than a standard car typically experiences. Regular lubricants aren’t designed to work at cooler temperatures, and the lack of viscosity could lead to engine wear, corrosion, a less efficient performance, and ultimately engine failure.
Applications especially designed for hybrid passenger cars, SUVs and vans using gasoline engines. It is also suitable for vehicles running on biofuels and those equipped with after treatment exhaust system, and emission control devices such as catalytic converters.
