Innovation HighlightsThe market and technology trends of e-drivetrain system of new energy vehicles include higher-speed motors and integration of electric drive units. In order to adapt to higher-speed motors, the use of low-viscosity lubricants can improve the operating efficiency of the motor, but on the other hand it also brings challenges to the cooling and lubrication of the electric drive system. Since it is difficult for oil to form a protective layer between sliding surfaces, it can easily lead to problems such as wear and sticking, especially on metal parts. In this report, we will introduce an improved polyimide material. The thrust washers made of polyimide have higher pressure and velocity limits than traditional metal gaskets under conditions of little or even no lubricant, which can effectively help new energy vehicles address the friction and wear challenges that encountered in the higher motor speed and compacted electric drive unit.
